I’m Stéphane Quantin, a web developer specialising in Drupal and the PHP/Symfony ecosystem. I have worked in web development since 2010 and with Drupal since 2012. My experience combines custom development, project takeovers and ongoing maintenance.

I build custom modules, editorial components and interfaces around project requirements. The aim is to turn business needs into features that make sense to users and can be maintained by the teams responsible for the website.
Project takeovers, maintenance and upgrades
Taking over a website means understanding its architecture, dependencies and previous decisions. My experience covers bug fixes, feature development and Drupal upgrades while working within the constraints of an existing platform.
Multisite and multilingual platforms
On a shared platform, every change needs to account for both common functionality and site-specific requirements. My projects have involved editorial tools, interfaces and configuration within these environments.

How I approach a project
I start by understanding the requirement before proposing a solution. For an existing website, that means looking at the relevant features, technical constraints and the way the team works.
I pay particular attention to readable code, consistent configuration and explaining technical decisions. An engagement should leave useful material for the next stage: understandable code, clear decisions and documentation suited to the scope.
Background and technologies
My education combines a French technical university diploma in multimedia with a professional bachelor’s degree focused on multimedia project management. I then developed my PHP experience before specialising in Drupal.
My technical areas include Drupal, PHP, Symfony, Twig, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, alongside Composer and Git for project management. Portfolio entries retain the technologies used at the time; not every historical project reflects my current setup.
